Accountant Associate-A14ZC

Job Description:
Day to Day (what a typical day or week looks like in this role):
You will report to the Finance and Accounting Manager and be the leader of the credit and collection team within the Caribbean accounting department. You will assist in the completion of the local consolidation to ensure it is accurate, timely and communicated to the appropriate parties.  You will also contribute with credit line reviews for trade partners and reporting as well as participate in various projects. 
 
What You Will Do:
· Assist in the local consolidation and generation of internal financial statements and schedules
· Assist in the preparation and consolidation of quarterly forecasts and the annual plan
· Assist in processes to help drive efficiencies
· Assist in the reconciliation of inter-company out-of-balances including accounts receivable and payable, investments and P&L
· Manage Key Trade Partner accounts in the Caribbean in regards to Credit and Collection
· Participate in the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures as required
· Improve current processes, systems and controls related to Credit and Collection
· Support external auditors with annual audit and quarterly reviews
· Supervises staff in a professional manner, providing direction and career development opportunities
· Assist with adhoc management reporting, analysis, projects, other initiatives as required

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting / advanced degree a plus
· 2-5 years of experience in multinational company
· Experience preparing internal financial statements
· Proficient knowledge of U.S. GAAP.  Thorough knowledge of accounting theories, methods and techniques.
· Proficient in the use of Excel to analyze data
· Experience with SAP a plus
· Effective verbal/written communication skills
· Strong work ethic and analytical skills
· Unquestionable integrity and a team player
· Problem solving skills with ability to manage non-negotiable timelines
